We had the pleasure of hosting Homerun Resources for dinner in late September. Tyler Muir, Head of Investor Relations, outlined the company’s strategy to build a vertically integrated high-purity silica and solar glass platform anchored in Brazil. Homerun is focused on developing its flagship Belmonte silica sand district in Bahia, Brazil, where it has secured exploitation rights with full permits for immediate extraction. The project benefits from strong infrastructure support and government alignment, providing a foundation for downstream silica purification and solar glass production. Tyler highlighted Homerun’s recent progress, including a preliminary mineral resource estimate of more than 60 million tonnes of high-purity silica (>99.6% SiO₂) across measured and inferred categories. The company has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with local governmental and development entities to support site development, processing facilities, and potential solar glass manufacturing. Financing initiatives are advancing, including a $6 million institutional funding package and participation in Brazil’s Strategic Minerals Transformation program through BNDES/FINEP. Homerun’s near-term priorities include commencing silica extraction, advancing purification and pilot plant development, progressing site and infrastructure initiatives under the MoU framework, and finalizing funding agreements tied to national strategic programs. The company emphasized its vision of capturing value across the full supply chain — from raw material extraction to downstream solar glass manufacturing — positioning itself as one of the few non-Chinese players in this critical sector. With demand for high-purity silica growing rapidly in solar, batteries, and energy storage, Homerun Resources is strategically positioned to deliver long-term value. Its integrated model, strong government partnerships, and recent milestones provide a differentiated platform among emerging specialty materials companies.

Homerun Resources: Building a Vertically Integrated Solar Glass Platform

Market Focus

Homerun Resources (TSXV: HMR.V | OTCQB: HMRFF) is a Canadian specialty materials company advancing a high-purity silica and solar glass platform anchored in Brazil. High-purity silica is a critical feedstock for solar glass, semiconductors, and advanced energy storage applications, with demand projected to accelerate as the global energy transition gains momentum. The company’s flagship Belmonte Project in Bahia, Brazil, provides immediate access to large-scale silica resources in one of the world’s most mining-friendly jurisdictions, positioning Homerun as a future supplier of critical materials outside of China’s dominant supply chain.

Platform and Strategy

Homerun Resources’ strategy is to establish a vertically integrated value chain from raw silica extraction through to downstream solar glass production. Key elements include:

  • Advancing the Belmonte silica project with recently secured exploitation permits allowing near-term production

  • Delivering high-purity silica to meet strict specifications (>99.6% SiO₂) for solar glass and other advanced applications

  • Constructing purification and pilot processing facilities to demonstrate scalable downstream potential

  • Partnering with local and federal government entities in Brazil to secure land, infrastructure, and development incentives

  • Aligning with strategic offtake and investment partners to accelerate buildout of an integrated solar glass manufacturing hub

Recent Progress and Growth

Homerun Resources enters the second half of 2025 with strong momentum:

  • Completion of a preliminary mineral resource estimate outlining more than 60 million tonnes of measured and inferred high-purity silica

  • Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Bahia state agencies and municipalities to advance site development and infrastructure support

  • Securing a $6 million institutional financing package and progressing a $3 million capital raise extension to fund development

  • Selection by BNDES / FINEP to advance to the Detailed Work Plan phase of Brazil’s Strategic Minerals Transformation program

  • Corporate development initiatives focused on scaling the solar glass platform and deepening institutional and government relationships

Partnerships and Strategic Positioning

The Belmonte Project benefits from excellent local infrastructure, including road, port access, and power, as well as strong government alignment through development partnerships. Brazil’s industrial policy to onshore solar glass manufacturing complements Homerun’s model, while global diversification efforts in solar supply chains create additional strategic opportunities. The company’s positioning as a non-Chinese integrated player in the solar glass market provides a clear pathway to partnerships with energy, industrial, and government stakeholders.

Leadership and Capital Markets Strategy

Homerun Resources is led by CEO Brian Leeners, who brings deep experience in resource development and capital markets. Investor Relations is spearheaded by Tyler Muir, who is actively expanding the company’s institutional and retail investor engagement. The company trades publicly in Canada and the United States, offering investors a pure-play exposure to high-purity silica and solar glass development in a Tier 1 jurisdiction.

Near Term Catalysts

  • Commencement of silica extraction at Belmonte under newly secured exploitation permits

  • Results from pilot purification and downstream testwork

  • Updates on BNDES / FINEP program funding and potential additional government support

  • Advancement of site and infrastructure agreements with Bahia state and municipal partners

  • Strategic updates on partnerships and potential offtake agreements in the solar supply chain

Conclusion

Homerun Resources offers investors a direct pathway into the rapidly expanding solar and clean technology materials sector. With a large-scale silica resource, strong government and institutional support, and a vertically integrated strategy targeting solar glass production, the company is positioned to deliver both near-term development milestones and long-term value creation. Homerun’s differentiated model provides a rare opportunity to invest in the foundation of the renewable energy supply chain from Brazil.
